REDIGA Tests Solar Module Impact on Crops in Greenhouse Trial | EPICENTRE Accelerator Finalist

REDIGA, a forward-thinking solar technology company, was named a finalist in the EPICENTRE accelerator program, highlighting our commitment to innovation in Agriphotovoltaics (Agri-PV) and renewable energy for agriculture.

Throughout the EPICENTRE program, REDIGA successfully advanced through every elimination round. Each phase challenged us to improve our solar energy solutions, clarify our product’s value, and align with real-world sustainability needs. The experience not only strengthened our core offering but also opened new opportunities in greenhouse-integrated solar systems.

Testing Solar Modules in Greenhouse Environments

During the final stage of the accelerator, REDIGA partnered with a greenhouse to explore how different types and sizes of solar modules affect the growth and quality of leafy vegetables. This hands-on research allowed us to test our solar panel technology in a real agricultural setting, gaining valuable insights into how solar installations can benefit both energy production and crop performance.

We focused specifically on leafy greens, which are highly sensitive to light conditions. By evaluating how module design impacts plant health and growth, REDIGA was able to refine our technology for agri-pv systems, where solar panels and agriculture coexist for mutual benefit.

Driving Innovation in Agri-PV

As global interest in sustainable agriculture and clean energy continues to grow, REDIGA is proud to be at the forefront of agrivoltaic innovation. Our participation in the EPICENTRE accelerator and a chance to pitch, helped us validate our solutions, build new industry connections, and take a significant step toward delivering multifunctional solar technologies for diverse applications — including farming, greenhouses, and beyond.

We thank the EPICENTRE team, our mentors, and our greenhouse collaborators for their support. REDIGA remains committed to pushing the boundaries of solar innovation, developing products that serve both environmental and agricultural needs.
